Summer Speed Zone in Warner Robins

WARNER ROBINS, Ga. – The Warner Robins Police Department is reminding the community that, as the summer school session begins, Red Speed cameras near Northside High School will be fully operational starting Monday, June 3. This initiative aims to ensure the safety of students and pedestrians in the vicinity.

The Red Speed cameras are part of a comprehensive program to address speeding concerns in designated areas. These cameras will enforce the speed limit by capturing vehicles traveling at 11 mph or more over the posted limit from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m., Monday through Friday. The implementation of these measures is intended to reduce the incidence of speeding and promote safer driving practices, especially in areas with high foot traffic and near educational institutions.

"Ensuring the safety of our students and pedestrians in school zones is a top priority," said Chief Fisher of the Warner Robins Police Department. "The Red Speed cameras are a critical component of our efforts to create a safer environment around our schools. We urge all drivers to adhere to the speed limits and exercise caution in these areas."

Warner Robins residents and commuters are urged to adhere to the speed limits and exercise caution while driving through these designated areas. The speed camera initiative aligns with the city's commitment to public safety and supports efforts to enhance the overall well-being of the community.
