The City of Warner Robins will accept sealed bids for the construction and installation of gas mains and facilities to replace the existing Tap Station #2.

All potential bidders must hold a current Georgia Utility Contractor’s License of proper classification and in full force and effect, in compliance with Act. O.C.G.A. 43-14.  Contractor must be a qualified natural gas contractor under the laws of the State of Georgia and must comply with any Federal, State, and City guidelines and regulations.  Plans, specifications, and contract documents are available for review at the City of Warner Robins, Purchasing Office, during regular business hours.  Hard copies may be obtained from Sapp Engineering & Service, P. O. Box 26097, Macon, Georgia 31221, upon payment of $50.00 for each set (non-refundable) or an electronic version may be obtained at no charge through Sapp Engineering & Services, by calling (478) 342-0386, or emailing Jack Sapp at .

There will be a mandatory pre-bid meeting scheduled for Friday, November 17, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in the City Hall Conference Room, 700 Watson Boulevard, Warner Robins, Georgia. Contact Jack Sapp at   by Tuesday, November 14, 2017 to sign up for the pre-bid meeting.

Sealed bids will be received in the Purchasing Office until Thursday, November 30, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at which time they will be opened and publicly read aloud.  Bid opening will be held in the City Hall Conference Room, City Hall Complex, 700 Watson Boulevard, Warner Robins, Georgia.
The City of Warner Robins is not responsible for bids that are not received in the Purchasing Office by the due date and time indicated.  Late bids will not be opened or considered in bid evaluation.

The Bid No.: "U-4078 Tap Station 2 Replacement” and the Contractor’s Georgia Utility Contractor’s License Number shall be clearly marked on the outside of the envelope.

All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in the amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the Total Base Bid.  Performance and Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the total contract amount, will be required of the successful bidder.  Bonds must be written by an acceptable Surety Company licensed to do business in the State of Georgia and listed in the Department of Treasury, Circular 570, latest edition. In addition to the foregoing, the Contractor must provide satisfactory evidence that he carries Worker’s Compensation in accordance with the State of Georgia Worker’s Compensation Laws, and public liability and property damage insurance in sufficient amounts to ensure adequate coverage of the work:

The successful bidder shall secure and pay for all permits, assessments, charges or fees required in connection with the proposed construction.

All anticipated rights of way and easements required for the project have been obtained.

The City of Warner Robins reserves the right to accept none, all or any part of the bid and to waive informalities or technicalities or to re-advertise as appropriate.
