The City of Warner Robins will receive sealed bids for the materials, supervision, technical personnel, labor, machinery, tools, equipment and services to build an 8’ W x 10’ L x 9.5’ H Reinforced Concrete Shelter at Water Treatment Plant No. 1 located at 598 Cornelia Drive, Warner Robins, GA.

Production of the shelter can begin after the issuance of the Notice to Proceed.  The City will require 14 days notice before shipment of shelter.  The City will provide a construction schedule with monument completion dates for delivery of precast shelter. The foundation will be prepared by the City’s subcontractor.

At the time of the bid opening the successful bidder shall give satisfactory evidence to the City of Warner Robins that he carries Workers' Compensation, in accordance with State Worker's Compensation Laws, and public liability and property damage insurance in sufficient amounts to ensure adequate coverage of the work, with the following minimum amounts acceptable:

Worker’s Compensation & Builders Risk (100)%
Comprehensive General Liability 1M/3M/50K
Comprehensive Vehicle Liability 1M/3M/50K

The Contractor shall hold harmless, indemnify and defend the Owner, its officers, employees or agents, from any and all liability claims, losses or damages herein, but not including the sole negligence of the Owner.

Bidders must supply the City of Warner Robins with the affidavit of compliance as required by (1) O.C.G.A. §13-10-90 et seq, the “Georgia Security and Immigration Compliance Act, and (2) a current W-9 “Request for Taxpayer Identification Number and Certification.”

Sealed bids must be received by the City on or before on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at which time they will be opened and read aloud.  Bid opening will be held in the Purchasing Office, City Hall Complex, 700 Watson Boulevard, Warner Robins, Georgia. The City of Warner Robins is not responsible for bids that are not received in the Purchasing Office by the due date and time.  Bids received after this deadline will not be opened or considered in bid evaluation.

The “Bid No.: U-4029 Reinforced Concrete Shelters” and bidder’s name must be clearly marked on the outside of the envelope. Bidders must have a valid State of Georgia Utility Contractor’s License.

The City of Warner Robins reserves the right to accept none, all or any part of the bid and to waive all informalities.
